cheers Mimmo
one more bit of research before xmas, in the announcement on Wednesday, there were several references to large Mississippian oil play and that this was a new play.
it also said
"Oklahoma based (Australian Securities Exchange listed) oil and gas exploration and production company Red Fork Energy Limited is pleased to announce that it has entered an exciting new horizontal high permeability Mississippian carbonate oil and liquids-rich gas play in North West Oklahoma.
Mississippian carbonate oil??
holders, i was informed this is not a shale play, this document might help a bit, not sure when it was written, around 2004 or 2005, first few pages are what we need to know, article here.
with the reference in the AGM to Mississippian shale, this is what i thought we were going for, but it appears as if this is a very recent new play in the mississippian LIMESTONE horizontal oil play.
this has had thousands of vertical wells drilled in the past, but it appears as if horizontal drilling has taken this play to a new level.
quite often this appears to be referred to as the Mississippian horizontal oil play, think the proof is in an article here
can also be referred to as Mississippian lime in a release here and of course IN OUR ANNOUNCEMENT ON 22/12/10 in table 1 where it compares the Eagle Ford SHALE and the Mississippian lime.
guys, i completely missed this, will need to do more research on this as i have no real idea about the differences in shale and limestone.
anyway, RED FORKERS, have a great christmas, Mimmo, the thread title is so true, RFE, the sleeping giant!!!
GO RFE
