My mistake about interpreting the carbonate play for shale. Easily done since the company uses the eagle ford shale as a cross reference for economics. Not saying that they mislead but why not go the whole hog and compare the field to the Ghawar..... after all carbonates are totally different to shale absolutley agree.
Interesting to see Sandridge's belief in the play. They have definetley been the most active and yet when you look at their presentations very little is mentioned about two or three pages. And even more puzzling is their intention to monetise the asset next year particularly given their belief in creating a larger exposure to oil prone assets. If the field is as good as EFS you would have expected sales of their other projects to fund expansion/ development of the mississippian lime.
Over the next few days I will post some thoughts and info I have found.
This could be a real diamond in the dust but at the moment it is far from being a sure thing and does not deserve to be compared to the EFS.
