A $120m valuation for a company that just rehashes content from other news sources?! What a lark!
What is their advantage in a competitive space? Besides from using their news service to post stealthy articles to promote/advertise Dealroom customers at least...
The company is also clueless on how to capitalise on social media and video sharing platforms. Exhibit A: Youtube channel has only pulled 64 subscribers and 1,644 views. That is pathetic level of engagement, particularly as finance related content does well on Youtube.
The company is also tightly held. As at the FY20 report, the top 5 shareholders controlled ~80% of the company. My opinion is this is just a fattening of the pig so the holders can convert their equity into cash.
