Meanwhile, another company presenting at the conference that also has some corporate intrigue is progen pharmaceuticals. The company has been tight lipped about the timing of a previously flagged capital raising but some say there may instead be interest from offshore biotech investors in taking a stake. The recent dip in Progens share price has been blamed on rumoured selling by taiwan-based medigen, which received shares in progen recently in return for ending a startegic alliance involving progens liver cancer drug pi-88.
