slinky skulking syvester

I hate cats. Their major delight is to prey upon birds and small native animals. We have a Pheasant Coucal that visits here. It was born in the bit of bush that used to be over the back fence. One day I saw it crossing the road with a small skink in its mouth. Towing along after it was its first chick. Didn't see the chick after that day. Coucals spend a lot of their time on the ground and are not great fliers. The people who recently moved in across the road are country bumpkins who brought two cats that they dont seem to constrain at all. Found a few avian corpses since their arrival, and all one of the cats seems to do is stalk, stalk, stalk. We found him wailing and dangling by his collar once when it had caught on the top of our fence. Should have left him to strangle.

    Pheasant Coucal (not my pic)
