No guesses or speculation just referenced posts of images. Yes I do have valid information; the Northern ramp failed via slip mechanism in my opinion only & was not reported to the market; the East side failed via slip mechanism & was reported. The one coincident factor was both failure seemed to be in the basalt section (image per RED website previous post); my opinion only as stated.
No old photographs here except 8/10/2014; which appears to date back to the Northern ramp failure. I am no expert in basalt as stated; my opinion only.

I'd say the commonality in the stability issues is that they are located in the pit walls with the greatest hydraulic load from groundwater moving from the range to Lake Mainit.
