well, it's pretty clear that the s/h on HC were very much on the right track with their comments on MPO performance over the last few months!

I reckon this statement today says more because of what it doesn't say (or alludes to), than what it actually says.

It would appear that MPO is destined for big changes in direction and emphasis.

The announcement to me is saying that the board was not happy with the results of the drilling/prod, nor were happy with the plans proposed.
They then enunciate the asset position of MPO.
They appoint a new CEO, and emphasise his experience at corporate transactions - and then happen to mention that he was involved with organisations which drilled 1,000 wells.
They comment that the SP does not reflect the asset position.

So imho, look for a asset liquidation over the next 12 mths!
The US strategy did not work, and I betcha they withdraw!??
