I suspect that part of the sudden change might have to do with what the people at Gibralt think, or better yet, their recent on market actions. MPO is a prime takeover target imo since they are trading at their cash backing. I know if I had the cash I'd take a tilt. what's 950 boepd worth? lets say 70-80k/flowing bbl?

One thing to remember is Beck and Lewin were major shareholders (or at least combined) to start the overthrow in the first place, so they have also destroyed their own wealth, and as such have a vested interest to build it back up/ protect it.

It will be interesting to see what the ol brain trust come up with...
