A trend I've noticed over time is that a huge proportion of people seem to need to categorize things as either black or white, good or bad. They fawn over their "good" stocks with the adulation of a sports fan and demonize their "bad" stocks with the contempt one usually reserves for things stuck to one's shoe. These first results from SLM could be just a small offshoot of a massive system thats as of yet undefined, but it is also possible that its a small isloted and uneconomic oddity. Theres simply not enough data yet to draw any sort of conclusion, other than a purely personal risk/exposure assessment.
It's highly speculative, which funnily enough, is the name of the game.
For myself the odds look to be worth the risk, for others not so.
