Futures trade indicates Japan's Nikkei is poised to open down just 20 points, compared to its loss of over one-thousand points yesterday
Wall Street contained losses just before the end of trade, to close down just over one per cent
The Dow Jones Industrial average lost 137 points to 11-thousand-855.
The S-and-P 500 fell 14 points and the Nasdaq was down 31.
The falls are a relatively small compared to those seen in Asia yesterday, boosted by good economic news from the Federal Reserve.
The Australian share market is tipped to open in the black.
