When I spoke to Soust he said that they had returned the agreement and that he had to make some modifications before returning it to them for finalisation by their lawyers. He seemed a little annoyed at their lack of urgency. For me, it's a little worrying. I do not think Soust is portraying the whole story, as his response to you has brought up another excuse.

The question remains, for a deal that is supposed to be so important, especially in light of the implications of future products, why is Genelabs so nonchelant about it all? My feeling is things are not going as well as planned, maybe there is an issue with the product. I understand delays, but if they were standard types of delays, the reasons would have been announced publicly in the form of an announcement. That has not eventuated, so my thinking is there are undisclosed important issues to be resolved.
