slut walk, page-15

Free Will and Boomer seem to have grasped the point. It is not good enough to blame the victim of rape for being attacked, regardless of what the women are wearing.

Rape is sexual assault against the victim's will, and indeed even old ladies in their homes have been raped by these creeps.

I do not think it is WISE to wear minimal clothing out at night in dangerous areas by any means, but to blame the victim , no matter what they are wearing is totally unacceptable.

I know a few people (men included) who marched in the Melbourne 'slutwalk' and they ARE NOT wearing provocative clothing at all. In fact many will be wearing sensible shoes and overcoats!

They are not marching to glorify prancing around in a g-string, they are marching to end the blame the victim by branding them as a 'slut', which is an ugly label used by some people to justify their equally ugly assertion that 'sluts' are somehow 'asking for it'.
