    thanks for the link

i browsed thru it but am not sure there is scientific correlation because the increase in the availability of pornography also correlates with the increase in more active sexual behaviours

in other words, because more women, since the sexual revolution, were willing to engage randomly in sex, this could be the reason for the reduction in rapes

also, as women became increasingly more willing to engage in random sex, many rapes would remain unreported given the woman would not report it, given she was engaged in seeking behaviour herself but ended up in an unwanted situation

i think many recent reports of "rapes" or "indecent behaviour" by high profile rugby league and AFL players in Australia points definitely to the influence of pornography and not a "repressed" upbringing, as the study asserts

for example, the recent case of Matthew Johns in New Zealand showed both male behavior probably influenced by pornography and the woman in a difficult situation due to the vagueness of her 'voluntary/involuntary' behaviour

this was not a "rape" under law but probably a "rape" in reality

in short, as I suggested, the study you are taking to be gospel truth is probably flawed in many ways

    regards
