You are absolutely correct that the BIG FISH are placing themselves. They are the ones getting thier bullion minted into coins and selling them for ridiculous premiums. BIG FISH do not buy 1 ounce coins, that's what the herd does. Now a 4.9million ounce withdrawal is something to take notice of, definitely BIG FISH although i'd be betting it will be minted into one ounce coins and sold at a 30% premium. Imo there's a good chance we will see much higher soon (i see spike to $35) but buying and holding now seems dangerous this late into a bullrun.
Let me guess, this time it's different, i don't understand precious metals, sky's the limit, it's going to plateau at a permanently high level, the only way is up.
Ps: just out of curiosity if you invested $1000 in the DOW 100 years ago and $1000 in Silver what kind of returns would they have made? I have no idea what the answer is anyone know how to find out things like that?
