My GUESS on the situation, SLV wanted to hedge their bets on the exploration areas held by GAU (or gain close to a controlling stake) Seems that GAU directors can't orchestrate a take over (or one the long suffering shareholders may desire).
Stalemate...
Company is hardly spending up big on drilling ($150K next qtr - BTW, how much is a drill rig per day?), directors not contactable - qtr-ly report had NO effort put into it.
Not a good situation ...
