How's this for a different way of thinking .... saving the ICE with 80% less emissions (OK not 0, but it doesn't gobble electricity either to recharge batteries ... OK makes no difference when electricity comes from solar, wind etc ... BUT a lot of "power" consumed to create those panels/magnets/turbines etc)
