Thankfully I've closed down my marine manufacturing business as the freehold industrial property was easier to sell without the business. Nobody wants to buy a manufacturing business in Australia today. Now only a few luxury yacht/ boat builders are left in Australia and its not surprising with rising wages and a sagging economy. Even the rich buyers are reluctant to buy Australian made as its doubtful they'll be in business to service their product in years to come.
Also there are very few young apprentices who are willing or capable to learn, how many employees have quit over the years as they don't like the smell of fibreglass.
Been in business for 40 odd years, its now only the big boys who may survive.
These new IR Laws will be the death of small business.
