Labor is at war with all business. The unions need to hate business in order to raise fees. They even have bikies on the boards. If there is normal workplace peace, then you don't need unions......
The CFMEU are a classic old-school union and look at their horrible abusive legal record.
What Australia needs and what would, after a pretty rapid transition period show a TOTAL turnaround in Union attitudes and business attitudes is
for unions to be by law - included as board members of corporations
once unions are a big part of 'running' the business - they look at things TOTALLY differently
THEIR decisions make or break the company - THEIR decisions put the company at risk of bankruptcy or growth. THEIR decisions create more profit or profit or loss and THEIR decisions that create profit mean that workers can share in the profit or not
it works for Germany, it works extremely well and neither business owners, nor unions would have it any other way.
It works because BOTH parties work for each other and their own mutual interest.
In Australia- if one could set something up in the worst possible way - we've done it.
again - another spectacular lack of vision
