"Tap Oil reports 6m gross oil column at Harriet-A11
By RWE Australian Business News, 02 May 2005
Sydney - Monday - May 2: (RWE Australian Business News) -
Tap Oil Ltd (TAP) reports its 12.2pc-owned Harriet-A11 development well
(in Harriet Joint Venture permit TL/1) has reached the planned total
depth of 2582 metres.
A 6-metre gross oil column was intersected at the top of the
objective Flag sandstone reservoir.
Tap commented that the Harriet-A11 oil development well was
planned to intersect a small attic of oil on the southeastern edge of
the Harriet oilfield not drained by the existing production wells.
"The well confirms the presence of a small accumulation of
incremental oil in this part of the field and will now be completed as
an oil producer tied into Varanus Island on the Harriet Alpha platform,"
the company said.
"The A11 well was drilled on the new seismic reprocessing within
the HJV licence and provides confidence that further discoveries may be
made based on these data."
