Yeah, CYM valuation is on the low side imo lol !!!
Some of the people over at HAV are a little upset at the price that OZL paid - comments like "OZL got a great deal".
Someone posted these figures on that thread for some recent Cu deals which are interesting:
Prices per CuEq reserve tonne:
Greenfield:
OZL/Kalkaroo: ~ US$160 - 320 range
Recent Brownfield deals
SFR/MATSA (Post #: 56356630): US$1,676
MAC/ Cobar mine (Post #: 60274364): US$3,607+
Given copper prices at say $10k/ton, processing at say $5k/ton, the HAV deal does seem a low price for a million tons.
But the main point is that consolidation in the market is happening. Augers well for CYM.
IGO is the obvious CYM suitor. Let's hope they leave us alone for a year then bid $3 when we prove up all the other deposits !
