Whilst it is regrettable that so many countrys are struggling with high food prices, domestically there may be some light at the end of the tunnel.
I have a small farm (360)HA in a 650mm rainfall area.
I have struggled to make ends meet over the years although with current commodity prices even I might finally make a few dollars.
I am putting in 120(HA) of Barley this year and 20(HA) of oats.Even with high input costs I am quietly optimistic of making a few dollars, providing the season is kind.
My sympathy to struggling nations, although I would relish the chance to have a small but viable farm again.
