Well, the 'conspiracy/manipulation' test will occur as of next week. If the retail SPP offer was fully subscribed, you'd expect the SP to rally in excess of the 0.75c so retailers are locked in to the same price as sophisticated investors. We had that mysterious 'ring around' which is interesting as to why it was done. If the instos are confident or know very few retailers took up the offer then the conspiracy theorist would expect the SP to remain subdued or even touch previous lows so that the 2.5% discount on the VWAP is just a lovely number for them. Just my 2c worth
