Wouldn't 'smart management' make an announcement when it is ready to go to market?
Yep. Plenty of companies out there with dodgy management who have nothing trying to squeeze the most out of their share price by manipulating announcement timings. I prefer those companies who do have something to offer and announce them as intended, at the time it is available to do so.
