There is a trend to call new products "smart" from a marketing point of view. I have purchased a smart TV, etc.
They are not smart. They are simply new products.
So far I have escaped the smart meter. Had many letters, but no show.
Anyway, when you look at the size of houses being built now compared to say post ww2, it is getting out of hand. The average house was 10 to 12 squares. Now it's anything north of 22 squares. Next to my Father in law a couple with one child pulled down a 12 square home and build a 53 square monster. They must be doing it for future resale value. You cannot feel emphaty for these people when their energy costs go up.
