Anyway to answer your other question about how long will I hold the answer is I genuinely don't know. I am always assessing two things,the company itself as well as the broader market fundementals. I could sell at anywhere from a loss to 100 percent gain. Anytime from Monday to 2 years from now. My BPT holding is not massive enough to make me panic and it's spread across Smsf and personal names. I have held stocks from days to 5 years in the past.
In regard to the losses you face, I think these can cause frustration making you overly negative, in reverse having had the luxury of entering late and at a lower price perhaps I am overly positive.
