The two trail treatment arms demonstrated a Rapid and Significant onset of antiviral activity against the influenza virus.

They are exactly the same but the second one stated it clearer.

So LANI did indeed work. In fact it was awesome and then it says

' LANI'  - demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in the incidence of secondary bacterial infections as compared to placebo (p=0.013)

The trail was flawed. This amazing drug will now sit dormant for years or be requisitioned under force by the US Govt in a flu crisis. Such a damn shame.

All BTA holders know that you get better from Relenza only a day or so sooner over a placebo. But the real key to all this is you do get better and the viral load and secondary infections are significantly reduced.

That's why it is approved in Japan. They understand the real nature of the product.

I'm looking forward to the detailed analysis when all will be revealed.

All too late now though LANI is dead to us and the world. Think of the lives that could of been saved. !!
