Logically we should split this problem in two.
One is expectations and Nick's enthusiasm.
Two is the hard science and negiations. I doubt Nick is even involved in the latter.
So we know number one is a disaster.

Panic later when facts are known. My worldy experience says something stupid, like the bloke with the black pen had a death in the family and the contracts cant be signed till he gets back.
