I think of myself as a long term trader/investor. But time frame is important. The share I have held longest (since Jan 04) is AMP. Sure they have dropped 50% in last year but when I allow for Divs received since 04 my cost base is now around $1.50 so still well ahead overall.
Would have been better if I had sold around $10, but that is hindsight.
