I've worked in the media and the old style journos have a gripe that goes like this: a line used to be decided over lunch, talking with people who know things, arguing with them, having one bottle too many and taking notes on bar coasters or napkins - now a line is decided via a meeting (stone cold sober) with other upwardly mobile, group thinking journalism graduates who've spent the morning googling indiscriminately on their iPads without asking a real person a real question. I think it's a good call.
