It's not the act of lighting a fire that is relevant here. It's what happens after the fire is lit. Under normal circumstances the likelhood of intensive bushfire is relatively low. However after prolonged heat, low humidity and absence of rain, clearly, the propensity is much greater. These are the conditions we have been experiencing and the tendency to these conditions are manifested by global warming.
It aint rocket science but you people just don't seem able to fathom it....
