But one should be careful as the U order is often used to give a false impression either of strengh in the depth or the opposite ie selling pressure to force the little players to sell under him whilst he mops them up.

Ask yourself if you wanted 200 grand worth of stock would you advertise your presence, I doubt it, more likely you would quietly accumulate and the same if you were selling, more than likely you would filter them into the market so as to not panick any body.
