I have been looking for info in any fire effect for Infigen without success which is good news. I am hoping the recent fires and subsequent pressure on the Government may yield some positive movement on energy policy soon.
The negative SA price spikes of down to -$1000 also mean BESS gets paid to take electricity during low demand/high solar-wind generation.
It makes money on both sides of the ledger. If the wind is blowing
A pure guess here but I think the 4.5 MW block might be to fulfill a contracted power supply as the wind at Lake Bonney looks to be low at that time.
You can also see where they cut production around 1600 hrs and let the battery suck up the juice instead.
