Great points, I think If China had that much influence in Tanzania, Tanz would have already signed up to the Belt and Road project like so many other Africa countries.....that is a much more important and a greater goal for the CCP than stopping a rare earth project.
I have said it before and will say it again, China is on the hunt for Iron ore and cobalt in Africa.....two things they dont have and spend a lot of money importing.
