Nowhere does the SMM document give a statement on what was actually said by the Government. There is no name, no letterhead on the document. It could have been done by Abe’s grandson.

This is the only transcript of what the Solomon Islands Government actually said:
Minister for Mines, Energy and Rural Electrification Mr Moses Garu said, “We were pleased to have had our day in court to defend our decisions.
“We look forward to the final ruling and the development of this project for the betterment of our nation.”

Now how does anyone interpret this as “The Government siding with SMM” ??


Then we go on to:

Chairman of Kolosori Landowner Trustees Mr Elliot Cortez said, “This has been a long process for us.”
“We appreciate having a partner such as Axiom—these past three years in court have made our bonds stronger.
“We look forward to working in partnership with Axiom into the future
