Mainly because SMM has much more than just the Valhalla project. It has at least 8 deposits, only 2 of which are in conjunction with VUL if I'm not mistaken. And SMM manage those two anyway.
Check out the latest issue of Resource Stocks magazine - good article about SMM (also good ones about STX and FXR for others on this forum). Worth buying. Those of us who hold STX shares received a copy in the mail courtesy of STX :)
