Hi Razzle, just in support of JustBob, I am of the view that if you want to communicate something to an audience then you need to spell it out sufficiently clearly that the audience actually understands what the author is trying to say. If you don't then you've lost your chance to enunciate a view.

Many times (and including in this current thread) I've read a post on HC and wondered what the author was trying to say. In particular, for a technical argument on something such as charting its important to be very clear otherwise the post is a complete waste of time.

Maybe suggesting to go back to school is a bit far fetched but I certainly wonder what the impact of modern technological change (eg use of twitter tweets from Trump etc) has had on particularly the younger generation and their attitude towards communicating clearly.

Meanwhile SMN has maybe surprised most of us today (positively!).
