I am looking at Quantum-Si incorporated (QSI) on the 4 hourly chart. As you can see by the chart it closed yesterday at 2.64. It closed on the previous day at 3.50 for a 24.5% drop in 1 day

Not talking where it was in the past or when it reached it's high or closed that day. I am talking about someone who held for two days ago.

Setting normal stops at say 3.25 or 3.15 or 3.00 would not have worked at the set price. Would any of them be still valid when the price drops below $3.00 on the first trade. If they remain valid who gets first priority the 3.25 trader or the 3.00 trader. Dozens of stop-loss trades could have been triggered at that opening trade.

But if you were the first trader to find a buyer ( which is very doubtful to get so lucky) then the price of the sale would have been at 2.96. In the first 15 minutes it traded down to 2.58

Not going to even to try attempt to understand your convoluted stop loss system or where you got out. I am talking about normal trading behaviour.

I ceased using stop loss trades a long time ago because the big end of town deliberately triggers them over a short period (sometimes as short as 2-3 days) for acquisition only to return to the same price as when they started. PLS just last year has a number of examples of these and that's a billion dollar company. I don't day trade.
