There maybe another buyer in the loop besides Neville. I suppose that depends on whether they hang around or just speculation buying.
I took a look at the hourly charts (below) and on the 18 Jan there was a sizeable trade. I looked at the 5 minute chart and at 3.50pm there was 105K shares traded at 43.5c. Neville it seems had a bid for 25k at 43. Neville seems to buy in round amounts of shares 5k, 10k 20k, 25k and 30k, while the second buyer seem to trade in rounded dollar amounts with a odd lot of shares traded. That why I think someone else may be in the buying loop as well.
Pure supposition on my part, but seems to be a likely explanation.
Todays bids seem to back this up as well. Two buyers is good support for the share price. So support at 43 could possibly play out for a while.
I read a while back discussion as to why I named my mystery buyer Neville. Showing my age a little. I first heard it used back in the 60's and it stands for Neville Nobody.
I came from a small town in the far western suburbs of Sydney and it was a town filled with battlers. When good people in the town had serious unexpected troubles, floods , fire , storms, accidents, illness, deaths or other hardships, someone (or group) would anonymously step up to help out. This helping hand always come from Neville. It's a small town with two taxi's and full of gossip and I lived there until I was 18 and never found out who Neville was. I had a list of suspects but never confirmed. Even when I was of drinking age down at the club, quietly asking some very informed people I new some questions, I was told abruptly to stay out of it. So I did.
Just some of the stories.
A young bloke who played A grade Rugby League for the town got seriously injured in a game. He was off work for months and had a young family and not much sick leave. When his wife went down the the realestate agent to pay the rent, she was told that the rent had been paid up for 3 months. When she asked who would do such a thing, the reply was Neville Nobody of course. The agent was a gossip, but didn't know who Neville was as it was handled in an envelope with cash and a letter.
An older women who was a refugee from WW2 had a tree fall on her house during a storm, the house was uninsured. She had lost her husband a year earlier and was living alone, The house was unlivable and she stayed with a neighbour overnight. Later she was handed an envelope by the postman which contained some cash and instructions. She couldn't read English so needed help from the neighbour about the instructions. The neighbour was a gossip.
She was told to stay away from the house for a week, starting Sunday, and leave a key under a pot near the front door, she stayed with friends for the week. The tree was cut away, removed and the builders turned up and started repairs. The workers when approached and questioned about who was paying for this, they shrugged their shoulders and said they had no idea. But the town knew that Neville was behind this. All done in a week.
It didn't happen often, but often enough.
So that's why I named my mystery buyer Neville.
