Hopefully the FAA won't take weeks or even months. This testing is between Boeing and SMN/AEM re any corrosion incompatibility between what Boeing use and that which has been applied to the CVM devices . Once Boeing approve I suggest we are on the road with the technology given that the FAA has already approved CVM in another application. Be unusual for them to say no.
What is more concerning I think is that if Boeing do find some incompatibility, But I guess the answer to that is that SMN/AEM apply the same corrosion resistance compounds to the CVM device as that which Boeing use, but that then might mean SMN/AEM have to go through some extended testing to ensure the Boeing anti corrosion compound is not detrimental to the CVM devices.
