There are steps that investors can take if they believe a company has conducted itself in nefarious ways eg deliberately providing false and misleading information to the market in order to gain interest in their company with the ultimate goal of raising capital to maintain salary/remuneration for Board members.
This is just an example of course.
These steps are outlined in ASIC's complaints policies on their website. I would recommend at least looking into the processes involved in making these complaints if any investors genuinely believe that IOT have conducted themselves in this manner. Investors deserve to have safeguards in place to prevent this happening but unfortunately it seems to be rife on the ASX and they seemingly have no desire to regulate it.
