I have NEVER had a friend die of a smoking related illness. I have had too many die from cancer.
Find what causes cancer and tax that. Smokers are the only sector of our community who pre-pay for their treatment, whether they use it or not, in a "free" hospital system. Diabetes and obesity sufferers aren't asked to pay for their treatment, in fact they make a hell of a fuss if they are asked to pay a small co-payment and much [not all] of their condition could be avoided by lifestyle changes.

(so called Juvenile) Diabetes Type 1 is hereditary. Completely .Totally. Irrefutably 100%. Lifestyle is irrelevant. Unfortunately.
Consumeables, needles, insulin etc. a co payment is required. A small one. Thanks to Medicare.
