The 2018 rebar standard changes were voluntary which required alloying agents of vanadium, titanium and manganese to be added to produce rebar.
The 2024 standards are the mandatory standards. On a cost basis vanadium is the preferred alloying agent due to energy and weight.
In 2018 not all steel producers would have included vanadium but now ALL steel producers have to as of this year.
I think we will see a step change for vanadium but still not clear how much.
