i dont smoke by the way, i just dont agree with how much smokers get taxed
and for illegal drugs we all bear the cost but the users don't. for example extra security, ambulance, hospital, police and so on all because they choose to do drugs
yeah i agree, anyone who chooses to smoke cigarettes knows the dangers now, but when it was a murky topic people didn't know and it took the government a while to step in. those poor buggers who got hooked not really knowing the consequences now pay the price, twice(health and $$$)
they should tax sugar and fast food, they are the worse for society than smoking. Heart disease, strokes, cancer all trump lung cancer in deaths and costs. look at that new fancy cancer centre they built in melbourne, that was paid for by the public because of people bad habits. imagine if they built a new lung cancer centre pretty much just for smokers lol
