I don't believe that's fully correct. I believe you're referring to the announcement , Response to ASX Aware Query, 12/12/17, item 4 actually states "This information is not considered to be information which has a material effect on JAT's share price as two months is a considerable period and investors would be well aware that there is not insignificant risk that the period could be extended, the contracts may never be entered into and CDFA approval may not be obtained".
In my opinion, there is a big difference between "significant risk" and "not insignificant risk". One is highly probable, the other is a disclaimer acknowledging that it is not improbable.
That said, we're still no closer to knowing what the status is, but I believe the risk statement needed clarification.
