I have also heard of this being possible, and we will explore a family member joining on low input to keep this SMSF compliant.

I find it amazing everything I am doing now with this SMSF will not change by living overseas, and we will have Australian shares and money here. But suddenly the ATO believes you are not in control, someone in Australia is the only one who has total control and understands the day to day practices, even though they make no decisons, but they do have an Australian residential address.


I shouldn't look for logic.
