Thanks mattocks, much appreciated. I do a little oppies trading myself via another online broker but also check quotes on commsec and have the paperwork to setup the super fund for Opps with them, just need to get my finger out!
I've traded them on and off for about 15 years but only more recently have I been making my own decisions and getting a better understanding of things.
3 of my previous brokers over the years have ended up answering questions with 'Your honour' (due to fraud or poor management - but not with me) so I reckon I must be jinxed, so I don't go near real brokers anymore, just stick to online!
I think part of my question mark over some trades with smsf's relates to the tax treatment and there is stuff on the ATO website you've probably seen anyway.
As for talking to friends....I just don't anymore.
