    Cheers mattocks. I've had a quick look and I'll stand corrected about writing options in a SMSF, but sure I'd seen it somewhere before (age related problem perhaps?).

    Anyway, one would hope your Accountant used a capable lawyer to provide the Trust Deed, which must allow for derivatives, along with the Investment Strategy and Risk Management Statement.

    It sounds like you have a good handle on it all, regards trading. I use a couple of mainstream online brokers for small options trades in personal names, but as I said above, they only do American, as far as I know (but haven't asked about Euros). Can I ask which broking service you use, or who you know that can do European options?
