Hi, your method is advisable. I, under normal circumstances, have done the same. It however throws me when I get an answer to a question that is different to the one i was expecting, or contrary to my understanding. I then undergo confusion, doubt my ability to understand and become unconfident.

It is difficult to find good professionals. My reasons for doing a bit of reading beforehand is so that I don't come across dumb..!! I read everything to do with SMSFs but when going through periods of intense stress have found it difficult to remember detail.....hence my confusion.

Was in pension phase for whole year . I worry about the 'process' from my end as I don't at all feel I am the one in control. Accountant quickly glosses over the detail. It is the detail however that I am interested and need guidance in.
