So, how does one go about finding an appropriate CA/SMSF Adviser?
There must be a way that at least weighs on the side of potential success. I am a long time member of The Australian investors Association, used to regularly attend their seminars and annual conferences, educating self along the way (before life became complicated). Even through this organisation I have not been able to find an answer to this question.

It seems that all paths lead to an initial consultation, an account for $500 to $600, then a decision to not move forward with them as I get a lack of any feeling that they are genuinely there for my benefit as it sometimes feels that the aim is just to get more funds under 'their' management and greater commission on a larger total invested.
