Upon turning 60 years of age in 2006 my financial adviser kindly recommended I put 60% of my available funds [$120,000] into Basis Capital and Absolute Capital. Within four months both of the great investments went belly up. Shortly after that I lost what little trust I had with Financial Advisers and now manage my own SMSF. I am now earning 6% plus interest on my funds without the worry and once you get the SMSF started it is not too hard to manage. My experience is that there are very few Financial Advisers that are as interested in your money as you are so I take full responsibility for my funds. Does any one know of any solicitors that are involved in any Class Actions against advisers who recommended the two investments mentioned?
